COCOcera
The original Brazilian wax for delicate skin
COCOcera was created by salon professionals who couldn't find a wax that was both gentle on sensitive skin and strong enough for stubborn hair. After two years of testing, they combined a delicate-skin wax with a difficult-hair wax, and the result was a single wax that does both.
The key difference is that COCOcera grips the hair, not the skin. It's applied at a low temperature, sets fast and lifts away without strips, so there's far less pulling, redness and irritation than with traditional waxing.
- Grips the hair, not the skin
- No strips, low temperature
- Dermatologically tested, so no patch test needed
- Removes even short, fine hair, so no need to grow it long first
- No sticky residue: skin is left smooth and hydrated
- One wax for every area, for women and men
- No downtime: make-up, gym and your day as normal
- Sticks to skin as well as hair
- Patch test often advised first
- Strips and higher heat
- Hair often needs to grow out first
- Can leave residue and redness
- Different waxes for different areas
- Can mean ingrown hairs and irritation
Over time, hair is removed from the root and regrowth tends to come back finer and slower. That means longer between appointments and fewer ingrown hairs.
- Is it suitable for sensitive skin?
- Yes, that's what it was designed for. Tell your therapist about any skin conditions or medication before your appointment.
- Do I need a patch test?
- No. COCOcera is dermatologically tested, so you can book and be waxed on the same visit.
- Is it only for Brazilians?
- No. Brazilian is where the name comes from, but it's used on legs, underarms, face, back and chest, for women and men.
- Who can use it?
- COCOcera is salon-exclusive, and only trained, certified therapists can offer it.
